Preface.

This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places, and incidents either are the products of the author’s imaginations or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events or locales is entirely coincidental.

This is the story of one of the many immigrants who journeyed from China during the early 19th century to the land beyond the shore. A journey detailing trials and tribulations, hardships, his family and kin he left back home for a better way of life.

As much as possible has been written on contemporary life style of the immigrants on this land beyond the shore. (Sarawak)
